It's A Celebration: RACA's Scholarship Fundraiser
Greetings RACA Friends! This spring, as Mother's Day draws near, we take time to honor the remarkable women who have shaped our lives, reflecting on cherished memories and the enduring love of our mothers. Help us celebrate the lives of RACA's namesakes,
Mrs. Ruby Ann Myles and Ms. Carrie Ann Dawson.
In their honor,
for RACA's Scholarship Fund.

With Mother’s Day approaching, we can’t help thinking about how the ladies who both treasured their families would spend Mother’s Day.
Though not a big gifts person, Ms. Ruby Ann would expect all of her children to join her for dinner. Ms. Carrie Ann would have insisted that her girls not make a fuss over her, yet she’d thoroughly enjoy being treated to a spa day and brunch.
As I think about our moms and their dedication to family and community, I also reflect on the fantastic journey of conceiving, standing up, and managing The Darin C. Banks Foundation (DCBF). It has been a sixteen-year labor of love and more gratifying than we could ever hope. DCBF Scholars have matriculated to and graduated from Ivy League, Big Ten, HBCU and other distinguished private colleges and universities. They are emerging leaders working in the business, entertainment, social services, technology and other industries. They volunteer in their hometowns and abroad, enriching their communities as global citizens.
Now that we’ve transitioned to RACA, we are continuing DCBF’s great work. It's spring and RACA is on the move! We’ve just completed our Annual Scholarship Competition, selecting RACA’s first (3) scholarship recipients. We’ve kicked off Natl Financial Literacy Month and launched our spring newsletter.
We can only imagine all the things Ms. Ruby Ann and Ms. Carrie Ann might say on Mother’s Day. We're grateful to have had them in our lives and to share their legacy through RACA.
We Miss You Mom & Mommy!
Love,
Bryant & Michelle Banks-Myles
